Why Betta make bubble?

White  bubble  on betta tank  water is made by male  betta  and it is a sign of he is ready for a breeding.The bubble is the nest where he will lay the eggs form a female betta. Just like most of other fish, betta male fertilize the eggs externally.

The male betta  will make the bubble on a stone,water plants  or anything on the water surface. Betta tend to make the bubble in hidden place to protect their eggs and  sometimes betta will  make the bubble near to edge of the tank if they can not find stone or plant to place the bubble on.
